One of the state's most photographed landmarks, First Congregational Church traces its origin to the early 18th century. Most people come for the bird's-eye views from the steeple--you'll have to climb 94 steps to get there, so wear a comfy pair of shoes. Beautiful church with the original church in the back. Tower had great views and wasn't too hard to climb as it has different levels.
-
Great view, nice knolagble people, and an interesting history museum. Definitely worth the $5 donation to go up.
-
Unfortunately closed when we visited beautiful church from outside missed not getting veiw from steeple.
-
The congregational church is just outside the center of town. The tower is open during the summer and early fall. The walk to the top is worth the effort, from the steeple you have unblocked views in all four directions.
-
Great views, access to the steeple closed for weekends.
