Gail's Tours of Nantucket, Nantucket

Highly recommended. Gail knows the island - it’s her family home. Candid, factual, relevant, and when appropriate, humorous narration. The tour might take a little more than two hours if folks are really interested in stopping and walking some of the points of interest. Well worth the time.

We would highly recommend Gail's tour of Nantucket. She shares her vast knowledge and experience of Nantucket during the 1 hour and 45 minute red van tour. She stops at several places for you to get out and get better views. Highly recommend!

If you're looking for memorable photos of Nantucket - forget this tour. Gail told us about houses that famous (?) people no longer owned or were dead, and "good" restaurants that were closed. She passed around her own photo album, I want my own pictures to take home with me! Drove very quickly passed sites - no chance to ask her to stop for pictures. The door was blocked by an invalid passenger so no one could get passed her to get off the bus, not only not fair to us, but also a safety issue. me and my husband couldn't get off to take pictures together. We only stopped at the lighthouse where everyone got off the bus. Seemed like everything she was pointing out was on the opposite side of the van - so my pictures are the backs of people's head. For $40 per person, very disappointed and dissatisfied. Do not recommend.

Very knowledgeable of the island since she grew up there. She provided history of the occupants past and present, like her family knew them for years. She even had a photo album showing some of the history.
