Balloons Above the Valley, Napa

Overdue form last summer but we loved our hot air balloon ride. Jacob was out pilot. He was so friendly and patient with everyone. The pick up spot they provide coffee and pastries. The view a are great and Jacobs knowledge will put you at any ease. The landing was fun and at the end they take awesome pictures of you “in” the balloon. Great way to start a day before going wine tasting.

Balloons Above the Valley was an absolute pleasure from start to finish. Mark our driver picked us up on time and was very informative on the Napa area. Chad our pilot was humorous, knowledgeable and was a joy to be around. We highly recommend this company to anyone interested in going on a hot air balloon ride in Napa.

Without a doubt flying in a balloon is a perfect way to see the Napa Valley and the surroundings. The staff of Balloons Above the Valley are professional and super friendly. They explain everything thoroughly. They make the entire experience safe, fun and memorable. Thanks to Shani who came to our hotel and drove us to Model Bakery for coffee and pastries before our flight. She was very friendly and helpful explaining what would happen each step of the way. Jake, a third generation pilot, piloted our balloon and narrated as we were in the air. He is well suited for his job with great knowledge and skills and a super personality. We had a perfect morning, filled with sunshine, to fly and the views of the Napa Valley were beautiful from our basket. I highly recommend this company and this unique way to see Napa.

This is definitely a YOLO experience! We were picked up at our hotel around 5:15a by Joel. Joel is a Napa native who shared a lot of its history. Then we drove to the meet spot for a complimentary breakfast. Unfortunately, the wind velocity was to high in Napa Valley. We had to drive 45-minutes to Winter, which is in YOLO County. Our balloon’s name was FREEDOM. Jake was an amazing captain. He explained all the safety rules and provided history of the area we were flying over. Our landing couldn’t have been better.

Flying experience was great with Jack, we went up to 6500+ feet. Try to book over weekday to avoid rush/crowds of weekends. Only problem I had with them was that they rushed us into Balloon from Van and didn’t let us took the Pics with Balloon. Also we didn’t saw balloon being inflated because we were waiting for an hour at the Bakery (where they ask to meet) to move us to Balloon take off location.
