    I've researched here several times. Very helpful volunteers - lots of open shelf books on local and area genealogy. They also have a great obituary index - found a couple of things I was looking...

    We went to visit the old courthouse and when we walked in it was no longer there, just a empty room. There is a geneology room upstairs, but we didn't go there.

    The Genealogical Library IS open, but call first....for the museum, go to the Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame building on Front Street and go upstairs to the Northwest Louisiana Historical Museum

    Came to see the Christmas event but this museum was closed. You would think that during a big event they would keep the building open later so you could seed them all.
