Admire Natural Bridge State Park, a tree-lined natural rock arch spanning a gorge in the mountainous terrain of western Virginia. Over the 19th and 20th centuries, this carved-out rock formation measuring 66 m (215 ft) high, and 27 m (90 ft) wide was known as one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World. Thomas Jefferson so greatly admired the natural landmark that he purchased the bridge in 1774 from the King of England for 20 shillings. After admiring the bridge, take a stroll down the Cedar Creek Trail, which runs for about one 1.6 km (1 mi), and passes near the Cedar Creek Cafe. Beautiful place for a walk. Right along the water and the bridge itself is amazing. We didn't go too far on the trail due to my walking problem but further along there is a water fall.

Awesome little stop! Bridge was definitely bigger than expected. We had a lot of fun taking pictures. Might have to go back for evening hikes with the lights they have set up.

Stopped here to break up East coast drive. Well worth it! My teen sons enjoyed it and that's saying something! Pulled into lot of guest center. Lots of gifts available including work from local artists. Bought tickets then went outside to stairs that descend into park. They have a shop at the bottom where you can purchase tickets, snacks, themed gifts, and drinks. They also provide seating with great views. Natural Bridge is a few steps away from shop. If you'd like, you can continue on their scenic trail with lots of markers to stop and enjoy with a waterfall at the end. Kids enjoyed playing in the water, salt mine, lost river, and wildlife. Seating provided along the paths every so often for resting. Gorgeous place to stop and enjoy!

I've wanted to see Natural Bridge since I was a little girl and it did NOT disappoint! Absolutely awe inspiring, beautiful, majestic. Any other superlatives you can think of to describe it! To be 100% honest, it's 167 steps down to the rangers station, then there's a nice walk on a paved pathway to the beautiful Bridge. Plenty of benches so you can sit & look at the Bridge, study it to your heart's content. Walk on farther down the pathway to see where George Washington carved his initials. The path ends at a waterfall, so keep going until you get there to see that! Take your time getting back up the steps, plenty of resting places on the way to the top. Lots to see in the Visitor's Center, be sure to check it out. There's an active beehive with glass sides so you can watch the bees at work. See if you can find the Queen Bee! There's a LOVE sign there that's definitely cool, & a painted cow too! All in all, this was an incredible natural wonder & definitely worthwhile!

A great state park with an amazing natural feature. Overall a nice place to walk around with friends and family. The weather was cool when I last visited so that was quite nice. Parking may be an issue if you go during the busy season. There are also benches where you can sit down and truly enjoy the view of the natural bridge.

Wow nature at its best. This is one of the best natural monument I have seen in Virginia. (For more details on how to get entry here refer my review in natural bridge state park place in google map) Below are main attractions 1. It is walkable distance (takes average 8 minutes to get here) from main visitor center 2. It is beauty with water flowing below the bridge , sounds of birds and cool breeze will soothe your body and mind 3. Take abundant photo 4. There are benches to sit and enjoy the bridge 5. After Bridge you will see Monacan Indian history spot which tells about tribal life who used to stay around here . It was closed when we visited back in March 2022 After Monacan Indian history spot you can visit Lace falls which is decent spot

We came...we saw. Definitely need to check this off your list of places if you are in the area. I'm sure you could spend a whole day here if you wanted. The Visitor center was nice and clean. There are food & snack options there along with souvenirs and educational displays. As a Virginia State Park annual pass holder we got in for free. Not sure I would have wanted to pay entry for each of us as we did not stay more than an hour. There are a lot of stairs going down to the bottom and we were not offered a shuttle to take us down to the walking area where Natural Bridge is but we are able bodied so it was not an issue. Did see other visitors struggling with the climb down & coming back up. Looks like there is a picnic area beside the lower area entrance with a couple of parking spots. We got caught in a thunderstorm while we were there so be prepared. Lots of areas to sit and rest and observe the glorious Natural Bridge. I was in awe of how amazing it truly was! Also lots of attractions nearby so plenty to do for a full day trip!
