  • The sweet ladies explaining the history were my favorite part. It's wonderful how the community has preserved this estate.

  • A lovely house in a park-like setting thanks to Arbor Day founder J. Sterling Morton, a prominent early citizen of Nebraska.

  • Must visit. Somedays when I have time I drive all the way from Lincoln just to relax and experience this beautiful park. During the fall, it is quite possibly my favorite place in Nebraska....but don't worry, its beautiful all year round. If you're a tree fan, this is the holy grail of destinations. If you're on I-29, definitely make a quick detour here!
  • A very nice park to walk and explore.
  • Great family experience. The museum is interesting with knowledgeable people to give you the history. The special displays on the grounds by the mansion were great on the last day of the Apple Jack festival. The kids enjoyed picking Apple's.
  • This incredible home-turned museum was once owned by the Morton family who not only started a salt empire, but also created the holiday of Arbor Day! It's stunningly beautiful. The self-guided tour takes about 30 minutes. Also make sure to spend some time wandering the grounds to see all the pretty trees.
  • Awesome history, great architecture with unique wood contrasts, superb information throughout.
