  • So much fun! Great tour by the owners and the history is very interesting. A lot of classic junk (treasures?) to see. Don’t miss this!!

  • Fun trip with the kids! The tour was both informative and interesting for my 8-13 year old kids. We were lucky to be in a smaller group, so my kids got a lot of attention. We explored all the fun things at the museum like place, the family that lives there was so fun and accommodating. We then took a 5 min drive to the river. There, we did a fun hike to see the gorgeous landscape and a picnic by the river. It was beautiful!
  • One of my favorite tours I’ve ever been on. Extremely nice folks. Really enjoyed chatting with the owners about the history of the place. The vehicles sitting around the property are just as interesting as the whole tour. Highly recommend making the drive to visit this place. Shawna, our tour guide, was awesome and made the whole experience just that much more fun! And don’t forget to tip your guide!
  • Omgosh so quiet and vintage...perfect place for a photo opp! It's like taking a step back into time and appreciating the past. The locals are welcoming at the general store and have some interesting stories to tell about the old mining site. They offer tours for groups of 4 at about $15 per person...but you will get a little history lesson and a walk through the old mine. They do Weddings in the old chapel and they've been visited by many celebrities. Plus a few movies were filmed at this location. Bonus...they rent kayaks and canoes, for the Colorado River is just down the road. So if you're looking for a different kind of adventure this is the place to be...my only suggestion is DO NOT go when the whether is bad/raining because when you are ready to leave there may not be a road to cross on the way back. The locals saved us today...so we weren't trapped too long by the unexpected mud river crossing.
  • Such a fun tour! Went in September and again in october when some friends came from out of town. Every guide has their own way of running the tour and I love that. Would definitely go back with another group of friends, everyone is so friendly!
  • After visiting Nelson Ghost Town, we decided to visit the Eldorado Mine. We had to wait a little bit since there is only a limited number of guided tours per day, but don't worry, the place is so full of stuff that time will fly! We visited the mine with the lady who runs the place, and which spent her childhood playing in the mine, so she knows every little secret about it and every accessible / not accessible spot. She was really nice, explaining also some local history and we enjoyed every bit of the tour. Definitively recommended!
