Although this river runs for just 4 km (2.5 mi), it maintains a constant and very comfortable temperature of about 22 C (72 F), making it an ideal location for scuba divers and for the fountain darter--a species of fish in danger of extinction. The river features a tube chute and several wide and gentle stretches, making it popular with families with small kids learning to swim and snorkel. There are limited tourist facilities on the river, so be sure to bring your own gear and supplies. Going down the river is a tube gives you a time to visit and make new friends. Leave at the park for a minor feed and you are on your way.

Excellent experience. Used Rockin R River Rides and the staff was friendly and helpful. They provided everything we needed for a nice safe float.

The comal river is named the shortest longest river on Google of you look it up.. There are 3-4 chutes on the river.. You are able to BBQ off the river at local condos.. And you're able bring your drinks onto the river and enjoy the scenery of deer and ducks. There are also different tubing companies in surrounding areas to help you choose what options are best for you. I live in Houston so this is the closet peaceful getaway ever. I'll see y'all again Summer 2019❤️😘

It is wonderful. A Pharmacist I work with told me about the River in New Braunfels where him and his wife, also an R.N. would take their children on vacation and this was one of the site seeing places. Great for family tubing and such clear Spring Water. Right here in Texas with the most Spring Feed Rivers of all States in The United States. Known Fact. Spend the day on, the river plus area goes by a park so you can have family tow lunch too and have lunch in a picnic table and finish the lovely excursion of the river afterwards. Plus do not forget sun blocker for your children and yourselves. Rental tub places available & sold with return vehicles available to parking lots.. Many wonderful Rental Homes in the area as is Hotels.

Scuba here is awesome, as a free diver its cool to see all the fish underwater and play with crawdads in the grass, clear water 80% of the time, fun shoots to slide down, beware though anyone under the age of 10 or not great swimmer should wear a vest!!! Cant stress enough, people have drown here. Be causious, no plastic, glass, or cans.
