Evolve Spa, New Buffalo

My husband and I are honeymooning in New Buffalo, and on a whim, we decided to schedule a couples massage at Evolve. Best. Decision. Ever. The price was reasonable. The atmosphere was soothing. And the massages were the best we'd ever had. The staff went out of their way to be courteous and make us feel special even before they knew we were newlyweds. We said we'd fly back to the area from Texas just for these massages!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! - I visited during a getaway in the area, and Andrew gave the BEST deep tissue massage I've ever had. I've had many years of shoulder pain and tension headaches that multiple masseuses and chiropractors haven't gotten rid of. After my first massage here at Evolve, I had a full week with no pain. It was such a dramatic improvement I scheduled another appointment before we left town.

I scheduled a 90 minute Swedish massage and left before an hour had elapsed. My masseuse was constantly clearing his throat, sniffling and breathing through his mouth to the point I could feel it on my body. When I rolled over on my back and felt his breathing on my face, it was game over for me. In today’s environment, that isn’t acceptable. I contacted the owner and she couldn’t have cared less. It was an absolutely terrible experience. The reason I gave it a two star versus one star rating was my previous massages were good.

The receptionist was so rude and talked loudly on her phone (putting it on speaker for the whole waiting area to hear) that it completely ruined the experience. She had a terrible attitude with us the moment we walked in. We will definitely not be returning. My sister’s therapist made unsettling comments during her massage. He made her very uncomfortable.

Terry was such a great massage therapist. I felt so relaxed and she really listened to my needs. The music and atmosphere created a tranquil experience. I liked the essential oil scent when you first walk in. Would totally recommend!
