This small museum is a great place to do research. They have a lot of manuscripts of local people from the establishment of the city through the 20th century.

Recently attended 2 talks there and had the opportunity to explore current exhibitions. One talk was on a local black woman who was the first black woman federal judge. Who knew. They do great public.... more

I enjoyed the museum. The early history of New Haven exhibit was very interesting. I also enjoyed the Quantum Mechanics exhibit and the Cinque exhibit, in particular.

Incredible history and timeline of New Haven. It's worth a stop in to see.. The building was awesome and layout for the museum was on point. Very nice curators.

Francia is the best server I ever had. I work in the restaurant industry. Very personable and know the menu like the back of his hand. Ask for him when you go there.

For anyone raised in New Haven or with family raised in New Haven this is a great place to visit. There is a library you can go to and make an appointment to explore your family's history. It was awesome seeing the old maps and there was a lot to see there it's definitely worth it there are days where they are free. Just checking to it!
