The Columbus Park is located in Chinatown with plenty of trees, benches and open space. However, It was kind of crowded and the maintenance wasn’t too good. There was lots of trash and the smell...

I got up early for breakfast at a little restaurant across the street and walked over to watch locals practice tai chi in the park. I’m always interested in how folks in the city spend their time...

Columbus park is a nice place to come and relax in the Little Italy / Chinatown area, located a half block off of Canal Street. We visited in the evening and it was great to sit for 30 minutes...

Happened to walk passed it on my way out of Chinatown in June 2022. On the map, no one would be able to tell that a place called Columbus Park would actually be a gathering place for mainly Chinese people and a place to commemorate the work of Sun Yat Sen who fought for China to become a Republic. It was a nice place with a lot of activities. Full of mainly elderly Chinese playing board games and, of course, gambling with no cash visibly changing hands. There were a few Chinese gentlemen singing Chinese songs accompanied by someone on a Chinese flute. Just adjacent to the park was a basketball court where young people of several races were playing together.

Went to NFTBA for a basketball tournament, really great vibe and very interactive. The park was spacious. Really had the New York essence! Good for shooting around and relaxing. One thing be aware of homeless people in the park they can be pushy. Otherwise it’s great for the youth!
-
Well frequented neighborhood park with a lot of serious card games in progress. In the middle of Chinatown and it seems to be the local hangout spot for the older crowd. Local Chinese singing accompanied by traditional string instruments and umbrellas put up by the locals makes for a cozy scene.
-
Great little park, with an athletic field, and many seating options. Also provides an easy short cut towards Chinatown.
-
Very nice park. A lot of people smoking…Chinese doing his thing…enough said…
