Rosecliff, Newport

Vanderbilt youngest son owned the Rosecliff. Ornate yet not overdone. Library has a distinctively unique ceiling. One painting was beautiful, but didnt think to zoom in on plaque as sitting room roped off. Their bathes were not shown for access. Gift store and public restrooms in basement. A rose garden renovated albeit was on south side.

I recently had the opportunity to shoot a wedding at Rosecliff Mansion (see below!) and it was an unforgettable experience! From a videographer's perspective, this breathtaking venue had everything we could've asked for. My favorite spot was the grand staircase - such a dramatic atmosphere. All in all, I highly recommend Rosecliff Mansion for any couple looking for an extraordinary venue!

Rosecliff is my favorite Newport mansion! The rooms are spacious, colorful and have great views of the ocean. The audio tour is also great so be sure to download the free app so you can enjoy hearing about the fascinating history of this magical place.

Beautiful mansion yet the rooms are bare without period furnishings or original pieces like other Newport mansions like The Breakers or Kingscote or Belcourt or Rough point. The audio tour is good. Only a few rooms are available to view. (No bedrooms or kitchen or butler pantry for example) There is a museum style display but it is crowded and difficult to see the written descriptions of the articles on display. Most definitely get the Newport Mansions app for the free audio tour. Don't forget your headphones.

Prettiest mansion. You can easily picture yourself celebrating something special there (which seems to be possible, as there were caterers that day). It doesn't have a museum vibe like the other mansions, it's charming inside and out.
