  • Amazing place to bird watch!! We went the day after the biggest week was over and was expecting the place to be packed, but it was actually quite nice with a lot of devoted birders there who were very helpful and identifying bird species if you weren't sure what they were. Can't wait to go back!.
  • This is a wildlife reserve. Mostly for birds, if you like walking there are boarded walkways. You can see the lake, stand on the Sandy Beach type area beside the lake, but it is no longer a swimming beach. There are clean. Porta potties available. As of October 2022, the education center is closed for renovation. There is a wildlife ranger station.
  • Seems like a nice little park, the boardwalk could've used some summer maintenance to trim back the overgrowth. Heard it's a great place during migration so I'll have to go back.
  • Fun walk any day of the year. Friendly staff. Bring your camera and enjoy the marsh along with a walk along the shore of Lake Erie. *Note: Magee Marsh boardwalk to be closed until Spring 2022 due to storm damage. ... Magee Marsh's road and parking lots have been cleared of debris from the August storm, according to ODNR.Sep 15, 2021
  • Awesome short trail to Magee Marsh, situated on the southern shore of Lake Erie, is a prime stopover for North American warblers during spring migration. Every year thousands of birders, photographers, and nature lovers flock to this location in spring to witness the unforgetable spectacle of large songbird concentrations preparing to migrate across the great lake toward their breeding grounds in the north. Many birders make the trip annually. Some have been doing so for twenty five or thirty years. Magee Marsh is just one of those special places that you have to come back to year after year. beach.
