How accommodating North 40 escapes were for us! I am a high-level quadriplegic and it was my wife’s lifelong dream to go dog sledding. I never thought I would be able to join her on this adventure...

Had an amazing experience and found the staff to be very accommodating and informative. We did the one hour dog sledding with a total of two families. We were greeted and taken to the nearby location by van. The guides were all very informative taking the time to explain and educate us all on the sleds and dogs. A great and informative experience, not to mention the spectacular backdrop. The guide stays on sled and explains so much about how the sled dogs work. My only complaint was that we left at almost 3:30 amd promptly were done at 4. So the hour was cut down. Unfortunately we were the last group but thought I’d get a bit more of an “experience” for the expensive cost related to the excursion. Overall a great time just a bit pricey for what you get!

Absolutely LOVE this Ranch! My now fiancé proposed to me on an incredible horseback ride into the high aspens with an INSANE view. I highly recommend a horseback tour - Fall is my favorite because the leaves changing in the entire canyon are so pretty. Ask for Bayou Dave as your guide!! He was really fun and extremely knowledgeable about wildlife. He taught us so much about the area and showed us signs of bear activity and bear claws in the trees! He was also incredible about safety and making sure everyone was good the whole trip! I will absolutely come back every year for this experience. I loved riding Margaret, the horse. She’s a beauty and eager to lead! There is also shotgun shooting and I hear dog sled rides in the winter are a blast.

This business was amazing. I went there for the horseback riding and will be back for some of the other activities. Walt was my guide and he made the whole ride so much fun. He had a great sense of humor, pointed out edible wild berries for me to try, we saw a moose, some deer and grouse. I highly recommend spending your day outdoors with them.

This was our third snowmobile tour in the Park City area and our first with North Forty Escapes, but I have a feeling it won't be our last. The trip was so much fun and the scenery was amazingly beautiful. We were originally scheduled for Christmas Eve but due to an incoming big storm we were lucky enough to be able to reschedule for later in the week after Christmas. They were very friendly about helping us make our travel plan changes. The drive out to the ranch is beautiful, although if you are an out-of-towner with a basic rental car I would highly recommend parking right at the entrance to their property and not trying to go down the driveway as it's covered in snow and your little two-wheel drive rental car probably will get stuck. We have a two-wheel drive car with no tires and we had trouble getting all the way into the main parking area but luckily we had no trouble getting back out. It pays to be extra safe and just park on the main road and walk down the rest of the way. Definitely plan to get there at least 30 minutes early, giving yourself time to change into your snow gear. Their Lodge is small and because of the overlap in different tours , there are a lot of people inside at the same time and with only two bathrooms it takes a while to take care of that plus finding your helmet, signing the waivers and such. I wish they had a little more organization inside because it was a little frantic. You had one tour coming in and unloading their stuff while another group is trying to get ready for their tour, and most people don't know how to properly size helmets so it would have been nice to have a little more help in a little more space to maneuver. Once you got outside to the sleds the guys were extremely helpful, and fun to be around. They went through all the safety speeches and got everyone onto their sleds quickly and then the tour began. There property is beautiful, you travel passed a couple Mountain Cabins and then you are truly in the wilderness with nothing around. The views at some of the spots are incredible looking back down the valley towards Park City. At the top they have a wide-open meadow where you can open up your sled and speed around doing laps oh, well the guides offered to take the kids through the trees and the fresh powder so you don't have to worry about wrecking your sled and having to pay for repairs. Unfortunately our sled busted on the way up the mountain, and because you are single file and we were the last sled in our group we watched helplessly as the rest of our group continued up the mountain and we were dead in the water. Thankfully the guides are always Vigilant and both the guide coming up behind us and our guide who had gone ahead came back to help us, they had spare parts and in less than 10 minutes had replaced the engine belt and we were back up and running. All in all it was an amazing tour and well worth the money. If you have kids the two-hour tour is a perfect length of time. Definitely bundle up because in that part of the country the temperatures are in the single digits during the day so wear warm socks and several layers. I can't wait to go back, and I'm sure we will be doing another tour with these guys again! Highly recommended!

Great experience!!! Took friends and family with us and would recommend it to our other friends and family that visit the area! Our guide was Walt, he was super great! He took care of everyone in our group and helped everyone of varying experience levels to have an amazing time! We went out for two hours, the sleds were newer and didn’t give anyone any problems at all! We got to see some beautiful country and got to play in a few of the meadows. We were out on snowmobiles but they also offer dog sledding as well! Highly recommended- we had a great time and the prices were super affordable too!
