PlumpJack Winery, Oakville

We’re not quite sure how many of the other negative reviews managed to have a bad time here. We had a fantastic morning here with our host Kevin, who was obviously passionate about wine and more than happy to share his extensive knowledge of the winery, Napa, and area restaurants. Regarding bugs, we had one small flying insect land on our table at one point during the tasting. We were outside, in the middle of a working vineyard. I am not upset about that at all. Some of the outdoor tasting tables are about 10ft from the vines, so if that would bother you massively, consider requesting an indoor table or a courtyard patio table. The vineyard is beautiful and we loved the wines. I hope you have as good of a time at PlumpJack as we did.

The people who left these awful reviews clearly have never been! They don’t serve food or have a cellar. However, the customer service was unmatched! Taylor sat down with us and answered every silly question we had. They are very knowledgeable and the wine is AMAZING! The views were incredible. This truly is a hidden gem. A must visit in Napa!

We’ve been long term PJ fans… having come here since Aaron took over wine making. Wines are heavy hitters, and consistently deliver. Experience has always been very consistent. The property is interesting - but the connection to the others is great (CADE, ODETTE).

Yesterday my husband and I were having a pleasant experience until we left for two minutes to take photos, photos one of the employees took, after 2 minutes we returned to the table and my $520.00 Gucci sunglasses that I had left on the table were no longer there. During the 2 minutes we left the table to take pictures, there were five empty wine glasses on the table, someone removed the empty glasses and possibly took my sunglasses that were on the table. Next to our table were three couples, but I don't think they were the ones who stole my glasses, as they were elegant people and relaxed between them. We called an employee and explained what happened, she just apologized and said that they didn't have a camera and that they couldn't do anything that could help us. I found it very disrespectful to me as a customer that my sunglasses were stolen within a matter of two minutes and the clerk had no plausible explanation. I have proof and photos that the sunglasses disappeared in this place in just 2 minutes of distraction. The wine is good however I do not recommend this place to anyone as it is not a reliable and honest place.

I didn't care for the place. The wine wasn't that good unless you like Night Train Express or wines of similar quality. I don't care for the owner either, he always talks down to his customers like he knows better than everyone else. Seems like a bit of an elitist, if you ask me. A while ago he was requiring all of his customers to wear masks but refused to wear one himself. What a hypocrite! I would NOT go back. Save your money and go to BevMo instead.
