Ogunquit Beach translates from the Abenaki language as "beautiful place by the sea." It is an apt name for the resort that offers sandy beaches framed by cliffs along the water. Swimmers will want to head to the river lagoon with a sandbar that indicates shallow water ideal for wading and swimming. The area is known for being a lesbian-, gay-, bisexual-, and transgender-friendly community. Consider browsing the boutiques near the water and enjoying refreshments with a view over the beach. • Such a nice small town to visit. The coast is such a lovely walk with so much to see. If you enjoy the peace and quiet but love the view this is a nice place to visit.

  • Lovely clean beach, can get very busy so go early. Pay attention and watch for the tide coming in! Plenty of paid for parking.

  • Sat on first floor patio next to the road and also had a view if water side. Great for people watching. Apps: Lobster bisque, 4 star. Only two bites of lobster and menu promoted more Scallops wrapped in bacon, 4 star. The taste was wonderful, but two of the scallops were super tiny compared to the others. I would expect uniform size for scallops and not feel I'm really getting way less food. Entree: Jerk chicken sandwich and fries, 4.5 stars. It didn't have the heat and full jerk flavor, and I assume the honey jerk flavor of this sandwich is why. Fries crispy and delicious. I would def come back to try other options.
  • My meal was delicious 😋 Perfect view of the water had a yummy whole soft lobster with steamed clams and Lobster soup it was all really good. The service was a bit slow and there was alittle confusion on who my waitress was but all and all a good experience food was great would definitely go back again. I ate there in October no line no wait was told in season you could wait up to two hours if that’s the case it’s not worth it.
  • I was born in Los Angeles, and one item on my bucket list was to have Lobster in Main, and I did it for my 41st Birthday. The wait staff were the best, and a young man from Florida made our meal the best, and he helped my crack my lobster (I have an injured left hand). The Blueberry pie with ice-cream was the capstone on a wonderful meal. Thank you!
  • Amazing place. The food was incredible. My boyfriend and I split two entrees; warm lobster roll and cajun salmon. Hands down best two meals we have ever eaten. The watermelon martini I drank was to die for also. Can't wait to come back to Maine next year just to come back here. Beautiful view and sunset as well. Highly recommend.
  • Got a “creamy clam chowder” to start and it was so far off from creamy or good and the portion size was super small! I also ordered the honey jerk chicken sandwich and it was just ok. My boyfriend ordered the seafood platter for $32 and it was such a small portion with soggy clams and fries because they put the haddock on top of the clams and fries. For $32 the platter should have had more on it and not be soggy. We did tell the waitress and they did take the clams and brought out a whole order of new clam so that was nice. The view was very nice tho i wouldn’t go back here again
