Create an itinerary including Rialto Beach
Take in the spectacular driftwood formations at Rialto Beach, a pebbly beach contained within Olympic National Park. It can be a bit of a scramble over logs and rocks to reach the beach, depending on the tide, but you'll be rewarded with great views. The picturesque beach offers a stunning view of the Pacific Ocean from Washington's west coast. The driftwood, both onshore and offshore, casts interesting patterns on the ocean's surface. Photographers will enjoy spending time playing with angles and perspectives offered by the intersecting pieces. • Incredible beach that is 10000% worth the visit!! Even on cloudy days, it’s calming just to hear the huge waves crash on the rocky shores. There was a lot of driftwood on the beach the time we went, though it made for some fun parkour. Pretty much all of the mid sized rocks are perfect for skipping so have fun with that!
  • Pretty area with large waves breaking close to shore - great spot for sea glass and unusual colored stones. As with a few other beaches, the "drift wood" is truly drift *trees*, giving the initial appearance of a beach littered with whale bones.
  • The most beautiful beach we have ever seen! Check the tides and walk down the beach to see the hole in the wall, it’s breathtaking! Huge waves and lots of salt spray and very cool rocks! Bring water and a snack and stay for the sunset! Simply amazing!
  • A beautiful beach in the Olympic National Park area of Washington. Close to a Native American reservation. No phone signal so make sure you download a map before coming. Gorgeous beaches. The weather is highly unpredictable. The Pacific Ocean is majestic and a sight to see. A must visit for everyone.
  • Beautiful coastal hike to the north. Pay attention to high tide. Definitely worth the time as the coastline is very scenic. The logs, stumps and trees are shoved up against the shoreline are unique in their own way as each is representing a piece of natures art.
