You don't need waves to ride on the water with Paddleboard Orlando. The outfit provides paddleboard lessons and rentals on the Wekiva River. If you're completely new to this activity, take an introductory class that'll show you how to get up on the board and master the correct paddling stroke. If you already know how to paddleboard, choose the board size you need and hit the water. You don't need to reserve your board in advance. The shop also rents kayaks. • I've wanted to try stand up stand-up paddle boarding since I first saw one about ten years ago. I'm not getting any younger (65) so I decided that it was now or never! I signed up for the Tuesday morning beginner's tour on the Winter Park Chain of Lakes. Ned (the owner) has a great reputation as a SUP trainer and he exceeded my expectations. After a basic description and demonstration of techniques for mounting the board, proper paddling and safety, our group of four (all my age) stood up on our boards and took off on our adventure. We were out for two hours traveling through three lakes and several beautiful canals which connect the lakes. Ned kept a close eye on everyone and offered tips where needed. He pointed out many beautiful and notable homes along our journey and really made this tour fun and educational. Two hours later, we returned to our launching point dry and happy since no one fell off! I am now hooked on stand-up paddle boarding and can't wait to join Ned again on his other SUP tours.
  • We are from NY and we were hoping for warmer weather to do the Manatee Paddle-board Tour. We were so glad we didn’t change our mind and back out because the weather turned out great and we had a blast! All 4 of us were beginners and we had no problem getting used to our boards. Our guides were very knowledgeable and fun. We saw so many Manatees. I had 3 come up to my board and was able to make contact with all of them. They were very kind and curious. Thanks Ned-A-Tee for the awesome memories. We will be back for sure! 5++
  • Super fun and excellent guides. We were kinda late into manatee season so we didn’t paddle with any BUT they still made it fun and it was an awesome morning for my last day of vacation. They were super knowledgeable and helpful for even us total beginners :)
  • My friends and I booked a Magical Manatee group tour at Blue Springs, and two private tours of Silver Springs and Weeki Wachi in the hopes to see manatees. Wildlife sighting are never a guarantee. However, not only did we get to see manatees on each of the tours, we saw alligators, tons of fish, turtles, and even monkeys. Ned and his team were very professional, and even assisted with tons of photos that they uploaded onto their social media page. In addition Ned was very helpful and quick with communication via email in setting up the tours. He also provided a variety of boards to try from Red sport, Red Voyager, and Palm SUPs. The springs in Florida are so beautiful and very clear. Can’t wait to come back. Highly recommend!
  • My daughter and I recently did the SUP Swim and Hike tour and it was awesome. Ned and Eric were so fun and knowledgeable, teaching us not only proper paddling technique but about the ecosystem around us. Hard to believe this little oasis exists 30 min north of downtown Orlando. Had a tasty lunch from the food truck as well. Overall, a wonderful experience. Would love to come back and paddle some more!
