  • Visiting from out of state and could not have had a more enjoyable visit. The outdoor area had beautiful views of the orchard, creating idyllic seclusion while still being close to town. My kids ran around playing with other kids while we enjoyed amazing wine and listened to great music. The owners and staff were so friendly and we are beyond grateful for this new vacation memory. My only regret is that we don't live closer. If you are going to be in the area it is well worth any detour, and if you're local you should be there right now.
  • First winery. The reds were good. Lots of cherry flavors coming through. Menage à Paw had a spice cherry flavor. Herd Dog Rescue was OK. Meritage had a smokiness in it. The petit verdot was rich but not as powerful as expected. Then I finished with the port style which was tasty but a bit too sweet. This winery has a comfortable feel to it. It includes a little store where you can buy cheeses and snacks. And the winery dogs came by for a visit :)
  • I had the chance to visit this wonderful establishement due to the Wine Run 5K. Staff and ownership friendly and reliable. Venue is clean and family friendly. Love the doggies Crush n Corky! Cheers CCW! Keep up the grape job!
  • We visited here while on a weekend getaway in the vicinity. We've been to many wineries and would recommend anyone who loves visiting them and feeling welcomed by the cordial staff and even a two-dimensional celebrity.
  • A friend and I spent the whole day at Cunningham Creek yesterday and were overwhelmed by the hospitality, friendliness, and comfort. Dog-friendliness was a priority for us, since we have 5 pups between us, which in many places means leashed dogs are allowed in outdoor spaces -- which is great -- but Cunningham Creek welcomes well-behaved leash dogs inside the tasting room, as well as treats and belly rubs, which for a HOT August day, was absolutely the difference of a short visit and a glass of wine or an entire day and a few bottles. We got there early enough to take advantage of the outdoor fully-fenced dog park, which for my city dogs was such a treat to romp around in before the heat was unbearable. The wine, a chilled red called "Menage a Paw", was a crisp, refreshing light-bodied jammy red. If not for having to drive, we could have enjoyed more! The tasting room showcased a local artist's pet portraits (lovely!) and a nice selection of wine and pup-themed wares. The owners, managers, and staff were friendly, accommodating, and hospitable. I have been to over 50 wineries in Virginia and never felt as welcome with my 2 dogs as Cunningham Creek made us with our gaggle of 5. The property is scenic and beautiful, and the live music in the late afternoon attracted 2 and 4-legged guests including families with small children. If you find yourself in the Charlottesville area, do yourself a favor and enjoy a visit to Cunningham Creek Winery.
