Stone Cottage Cellars, Paonia

Very interesting location, with a small stone cottage with friendly service and a nice wine tasting. Excellent "Il Diavolo" (not a beautiful name, but a great wine), a Port-like wine. Other good wines are available. You need to drive a gravel road for about 1 mile, the road is not wonderful but it is short and you can drive slowly. Another nice place to go in the very interesting winery network of this area.

One of very best in the region. Whites are a standout, incredible Gewurztraminer. But the reds are great too. Great tasting wine, beautiful setting. There was a snack platter available as well when we were there that was really good, too. Don't miss it!

We did a side trip up to this charming little winery on our way to Crested Butte, not knowing what a gem of a place we’d find. We loved every wine in the tasting, and our little cheese appetizer plate as well. These guys really know what they’re doing, and the farm and views are lovely. Thanks to Leslie for a wonderful and informative experience!

We always go to Stone Cottage first when we are in the area for wine tasting. It has a lovely ambiance with very good wines. The staff is very personable and engaging. It is also very dog friendly which we really like.

Had a wonderful day at Stone Cottage for one of their wine and food pairing nights. Both the wine and food was great!
