Whitefish Point Light, Paradise

Great place, nicely kept and moving. Just knowing all that had occurred nearby I can't put words to how I felt. This was the highlight of our trip for me. Between the museum and the light even my wife got very interested in it all. Take 30 minutes and watch the video. Nice gift shop and the all informative people that work at the Point we're great.

Very well kept grounds, if you pay for the museum you can tour the other buildings. We only went through the museum. The beach is amazing, and rock collecting abounds! The water is great for those who brave the cold, and some decent waves to entertain the kids and the adults who are kids at heart! We even caught a freighter passing by.

Wish we had gone a little earlier to see the inside of the lighthouse. This is a beautiful place. The weather can become quite chilly so be prepared with layers. The beach was beautiful. Couldn't visit the museum here, need to plan a visit the next time.

We will go back to the museum and other features another time. We only went to the beach to put our feet in Lake Superior and look at the interesting rocks. It was beautiful. Lots of history at the lighthouse. Shipwreck museum looks very interesting but we chose not to go in. There was no waiting or anything, we just chose not to go the day we went. It was so nice outside. Restrooms were good.

Visited on 4th July 2022 and were pleasantly surprised to see the grounds, museum and gift shop open. We enjoyed the knowledge the movie about the Edmund Fitzgerald revealed and the artifacts in the different dwellings. Nicely done!
