The Paton property in Patagonia, Arizona, has been purchased and will continue to provide world class birding opportunities. Generous contributions from more than 1000 members of the birding community in an initiative led by the American Bird Conservancy in partnership with Victor Emanual Nature Tours and Tucson Audubon Society, enabled the purchase of the property by ABC in mid-February 2014.

Tucson Audubon management will be consistent with maintaining a world-class birding destination. We aim to develop the greatest possible bird species diversity, and will develop the site into regional center for environmental education and a demonstration of sustainability. The top priority will always be maintaining open access for birders to enjoy Violet-crowned Hummingbirds and all the other wonderful species that birders can see there.

Beautiful little area with plenty of areas to see not only hummingbirds but lots of other birds. The docents were very helpful!
