In late 2014, Promier Properties LLC, new owners of the historic Westclox Building, decided to establish a museum within a portion of the former factory building. They dedicated a space and, with the aid of community volunteers, began collecting and archiving artifacts from the lengthy history of Westclox. The museum opened on February 7, 2015 - 35 years to the day of the announcement of the factory closing. Since that time, the non-profit museum has more than quadrupled its collections, thanks to the generosity of people who are interested in preserving the history of this once giant of the industry. The museum is staffed solely by volunteers, allowing the museum to operate without admission fees. Cash donations are gratefully accepted, and new artifacts are added to the displays weekly. The museum also has an excellent research section and several films available. One of the more popular research tools is a database of Tick Talk magazines, the company employee magazine for more than 50 years. Knowledgeable volunteers are always available to assist visitors. The museum is handicapped accessible and group tours are welcome.

  • Very glad we stopped to learn some history surrounding a very iconic clock brand. The two people we met were former employees of Westclox and very knowledgeable. They covered topics from the clock innovations, production methods, and even WWII wartime production. Admission was free, donations suggested (and well deserved).
  • Actually I was at Star Union craft Spirits. They make all there own spirits here. Drinks are made you can't get anywhere else. Bartenders are friendly helpful and knowledgeable. Will go again.
  • Stop and check out the history of this amazing company. Many items to evoke your memories, and staff on hand to share information with you. We stumbled upon the museum by accident, but it was time will spent!
  • Fun visit. Small spot but a lot to look at. The employees are friendly and knowledgeable. Great time!!
  • Great history abd very knowledgeable staff. Hundreds of clocks. Definitely recommend a visit.
