We gave this a try and it was a fun ride, nice gift shop - it was worth it and I would recommend especially if you are not doing any larger parks and just want a convenient, fun ride.

The coaster was a lot of fun. I liked being able to control the speed. It is a bit of a challenge getting out at the end for a grandma because it doesn't stop. The store had lots of fun merchandise and feeding the goats was fun. My only issue would be that there are signs all over saying to feed the goats only the goat food. There were kids pulling plants and weeds and giving to the goats. I reported it to staff and no one stopped the kids. I just would like if someone would look after the goats a bit better.

My family had an absolute blast at Goats on the Roof! We had so much fun, in fact, we returned for a second visit during our stay in the smokies, just to ride the goat coaster again. It's a fantastic place to take your kids where they can feed the goats by pedaling the food up to the roof, collect all kinds of fancy rocks and minerals at the gem mine that is on-site, and browse all kind of cool gifts and souvenirs to take home from the gift shop. If you get thirsty or hungry they have all kinds of coffee drinks and fudge. We tried several different flavors of fudge, but our favorite was the bear poop. All of the staff are super friendly, especially Nathan and Ricky who helped us get our fudge. Ricky showed my kids pictures of the bear he tracked to collect enough poop for the fudge! Don't let the name fool you, it's good stuff!!!

Awesome alpine coaster... cheapest one around price wise and also the newest! Goats are fun to see... be sure to go up to the second story of the gudlft shop to look out the windows at them! Tons of souvenirs, friendly staff.

We mined for gems here. We got geodes, arrow heads, sodalite, white, clear and pink quartz and so much more. The man running the gem stand was awesome and friendly. His name was Nathan. He even took pictures for me and my wife. The prices are so good and everyone was so friendly. The crystals were authentic as well. Definitely a must do if you're visiting.

Highly recommend! All my kids agreed this was well worth it. They rode another mountain coaster a few days later in Gatlinburg that was suppose to be better...they all said Goats On The Roof was twice as long and more fun. The goats are fun for the toddlers too. For $3 you can feed for the goats and it comes in a really nice souvenir kids cup.
