Everything was wonderful. Casey did a great job and was so fun! I didn't realize we would be eating so much food, but we all managed. So many ways to eat oysters!

Casey was our tour guide for our extended family group of five. She was incredibly knowledgeable about all aspects of our trip and explained things in a way that was so relatable and fun. The oysters were amazing and clam chowder was the best we’ve ever had. Such a beautiful day and experience. Highly recommend. Thanks, Casey!

Drop what you are doing and book with Food & Farm Tours! Are you longing for a unique experience in a beautiful COVID-safe setting with your friends or family? Look no further! Recently, we had a spectacular spring day visiting farms with our adult children and Alex, our trusty field guide. From holding day-old baby goats, to tasting fresh farm cheeses, to savoring gifts from Tomales Bay (while watching fishing boats tule by), to sampling fresh olive oil paired with exceptional estate wines & artisan bread, it couldn’t have been more idyllic, relaxing, tasty and fun! We even got some exercise exploring the ranch. Book now and treat yourself to a slice of heaven on earth!

I used Food and Farm Tours to plan a corporate retreat for a team of 15 people. Alexandra, the owner, was easy to work with and ensured our needs were met. We worked together to create an incredible bespoke experience for the group. We decided on a custom farm to table cooking class that had us picking fresh vegetables and drinking organic wine while we cuddled up to some adorable baby goats. Our private chef created a menu that was inspired by the current season and produce we harvested at a nearby organic farm. Alexandra has an amazing network at her fingertips and we loved learning from local business owners with her as our tour guide. We had the opportunity to get to know local farmers, wine makers, and chefs in an intimate setting that wouldn’t otherwise be accessible to us. I would absolutely recommend Food and Farm Tours for anyone looking for a truly authentic Northern California experience.

I had an amazing time with Food & Farm Tours, the 6 other guests and our fabulous tour guide, Alex. She was a wealth of information and taught me a lot of things I've never know about the area (I've lived here most my life). We had a wide array of Cowgirl Creamery cheeses and some locally baked pastries to start the day. Next we walked to Brickmaiden to see how they made their beautiful fire baked breads. Then we took a drive to a local restaurant (forgot the name) and had great burgers. After that, we ventured to Heidrun Meadery and tasted their sparkling mead. I'm not normally a fan of mead but theirs is light and bright and incredibly tasty. Finally we headed to Hog Island Oyster Farm and had some of the most delicate and juicy oysters I've ever had. In addition, we had some killer BBQed oysters while sitting right by the bay. Our little group had an incredible time and we all plan on taking some of the other tours in the future. If you happen to be in Marin or Sonoma county you should absolutely take a tour with Food & Farm Tours!

Alex is a passionate advocate for the local farms & ranches in Marin & Sonoma. Her tours are amazing! I've enjoyed the Cheese Lover's Tour and Farm-to-Table Cooking Class so far. I loved visiting the farm, getting up close with the animals, and learning so much I didn't know about the process of cheese making--not to mention tasting the fresh cheeses! Alex's cheese boards are magnificent! The cooking class was also a winner. The group prepared a delicious meal of dishes using fresh local produce, cheese & meats at Grow Kitchen, then sat down to savor our efforts together. I highly recommend Food & Farm Tours to anyone who loves good food, and wants to support the efforts of family farmers who bring their best to the table.
