  • Fantastic beach on beautiful, calm Tomales Bay in Point Reyes National Park, with what seems its own warm micro-climate. Great for swimming, playing and walking on the beach with a good picnic area...

  • This delightful beach has very gentle waves and shallow water for a long way out. Lots of toddlers and youngsters wading and laughing. An abundance of picnic tables with a view of beach and water...

  • Quiet little beach in a sheltered cove. Enough sand for the kids to play in and a nice, clean public bathroom. The only bummer was that there were tons on jellyfish in the water and the shore when we came. So, they were cool to look at but we didn't want to risk swimming with them. A decent spot for shell collecting, too. Lots of hiking trails in the area, as well.
  • A great beach for families with young kids. No waves, kayaks (expensive) to rent, room for beach tents, picnic areas. If you don’t have kids, don’t like the whole kids being loud scene, you can always hike 0.5 mile over to Indian Beach which is quiet and peaceful. $8 admission to park.
  • Love it, took off for kayaking trip here. Great beach for a day visit too. Wasn't too cold even overcast. Grassy area, picnic tables, beach, swim platform, restrooms, disabled parking, beautiful!
  • great beach; swim space; can hike less than a mile to Pebble beach can hike ~ 4 miles to Shell beach. Pebble beach cove - could swim here. There are kelps growing in this cove and you could see skates.
  • Good for a BBQ cookout. Ample of sitting space and grills with on site restrooms.
