African Safari Wildlife Park, Port Clinton

Had a great time at the African Safari wildlife Park! It really is a unique experience and you get to feed the animals right from your car! The price of admission is expensive! But you are paying for the up close experience that you do not get at a zoo. They also have a small walk through section with some additional animals and birds Your ticket is good for all day. So you can drive through the safari again if you like! However, I am taking off a star because I did not know this until at the end of the safari and I have dumped some of the animal feed so it would not go to waste! If this was more clear, I would have either bought additional food or saved some of it to go through again. It really is an amazing experience. Especially when the giraffe uses their tongue to grip the mulberry leaves. This is not something I will do often because of the cost, but may come again based on who I might be traveling with.

Suck a cool experience! Even our 5 months old had a great time. I highly recommend to any animal lover or parent. Our fear was that our car would be scratched but it was not. The employees here were so nice and helpful. Overall a great experience and a perfect family day!

A self-drive through park with dozens of types of animals roaming freely. You're given a large cup of animal feed at the beginning of the drive, then they wait for you to drive up. They'll come right to your windows to beg. Alpacas, deer, longhorns, even bison come up to beg. In fenced areas are antelope, zebras, giraffe. Also a walking tour of smaller animals, gift shop, etc. More feed can be purchased too. If you get surrounded and can't drive, wranglers on golf carts will disperse the herds. Overall a lot of fun and I would recommend it highly for all ages. And if you leave your windows open, they will stick their heads in for food. Fine for Alpacas and deer, not so much with longhorns and bison!

Great experience. My kids loved it. The wildlife experts (wildlife Wendy & the 2 others) made the experience better! Loved learning about the animals. The customer service when you pull in was extremely subpar. They didn’t explain anything at all, just said “please pull forward and enjoy” - no explanation on being able to walk or drive through or BOTH! It was quite expensive hence the reason for 4 stars vs 5.

This was such a unique and fun experience! The animals come right up to your car and eat grain out of the cup. It doesn't take too long to drive through the entire park but the animals are all very friendly and are hoping for a treat from you! Glad we stopped by while we were in town.
