  • The lighthouse was closed during our trip but we still got to walk around outside and see the views. There are tours from April to October.

  • Highlight of the trip. Very windy, hard to hold the camera steady. We've been to several lighthouses on the Oregon Coast, but this is my first paid tour... a whopping $2. Super volunteers make...

  • If doing a drive up the West Coat of the US, lighthouses should be on your list of places to stop. Each lighthouse is unique as well as shares a lot of history in the area. Cape Blanco lighthouse is one of the smaller lighthouses on the coast but still is amazing to visit. One of the trends of West Coast lighthouse is the white and red color scheme. Not sure if this was intentional but next time, we visit I am going to have to ask. The staff and tour when offered is great. The bluff overlook of the coast offers some great picture opportunities and if lucky can see some dolphins playing in the surf.
  • I stopped by here briefly and took in the view but did not walk out to the lighthouse. The paved path to the lighthouse is mostly uphill and about a half mile from the parking lot. The lighthouse may or may not be open so check the signs before deciding to walk. Beautiful coastline here.
  • I recommend this place. Even though it's not permitted to go up the lighthouse any more, going inside it's still aloud with the tour person. is so worth it to check it out. The ocean and the rock formations here are espectacular and the guided tour for one of the local volunteers was and added a lot more to it visit and the history of the place. Place 5/5 Price 5/5 $2 per person Drive 5/5 You need more than 30 minutes if you do the tour.
  • Just a stunningly beautiful place. The lighthouse is cool, but make sure to walk down the trail from near the parking lot to the beach, about 15 min or so.
  • Although we were covered with the marine layer (fog to most) and a howling wind... it was well worth the walk.. nice wild life (note the Caterpillar in the photos...lol). The lighthouse as it played peekaboo exemplified why it was there.
