Escapology, Portage

So went with people who had never done an escape room. We did not make it out but enjoyed it. We got to caught up on fake clues. Also my dyslexia did not help. We agreed to try it again sometime and see it they had one with more spatial problem solving puzzles. Also liked the daily puzzle board.

I have been going to this specific location for years and have done every single one of the rooms. Last Friday I had the worst experience I have ever had there. One of the game Masters was extremely condescending and she had a horrible attitude. Almost just as bad our game master completely disappeared and was replaced with the man who kept asking if we had solved a specific puzzle that we had about 10 minutes prior to him joining us. It was a completely waste of our time and as we all know in the escape room every second counts! We will never go back.

Fun themes and good variety of rooms. some of the components were pretty finicky and didn’t work on the first try. Not necessarily as helpful of game masters but overall fun experience.

Great experience, I took my daughter's there and it was challenging and could had completed in just 10 more minutes.

This was my 3rd time at Escapology in Kalamazoo and I won’t waste my money again. Sorry. We have been to an escape room in Florida that spoiled us for all others. It makes this one look like it was created in someone’s spare bedroom. And the biggest problem is the gamemasters are terrible. They could really care less if you are there instead of enhancing your experience. And if you’re going to put us in a poorly lit room and have clues on maps in a dark corner, GIVE US A DANG FLASHLIGHT instead of scolding us for using the one on your phone.
