Maderas Golf Club, Poway

Course was in great shape and the area is beautiful, one of the most unique courses I have played in terms of terrain. Plenty of challenging holes but fair overall. We played the blue tees which totals around 6,600 yards - as a low double digit handicap, this length felt reasonable but definitely some tough tee shots. The twilight rate was very reasonable for the service and course, will be back when I return to San Diego

Really challenging course that makes you think about every shot. Score may not be the best indicator of a good round but lost balls is. Under 4 lost balls is a great round! Great staff, great conditions, definitely recommended. 👍

Maderas is a roller coaster ride from start to finish! Extreme uphill and downhill shots to execute. Course is fairly tight in the landing areas, so recklessly pulling driver every hole is not the way to score here. Conditioning is usually great, and you will pay a premium for that. Great vistas from all areas of the course, and the green complexes put pressure on faulty short games.

Loved everything about this place. The course layout is tough and amazing, and the scenery is stunning. The conditions were also really impressive, with impeccable greens and fairways and the practice facility was great. Club house staff were very welcoming and attentive. Overall, it was a fantastic experience and worth the visit if you’re in the SD area.

I love this place. Great food at the restaurant, so much in fact my buddy and I ate breakfast there before our round and lunch after. Fantastic! The course is beautiful and very scenic. My lock screen on my phone is I believe the third fairway from the tee. I hope to visit again soon.
