  • The fact that you can walk around most of Kisatchie, camp even, for FREE, will never stop being awesome. Beautiful hills, forests, streams, rivers, what else could you want? Not much else, not me anyways. (Oh yeah and there's a Loblolly Pine that circled the moon in the '70s.. WHAT!? I'm not lying, look it up!)
  • Nice and peaceful Forest although they do control burns and everything is black. Not much firewood to burn if you are camping. Very secluded with absolute silence. Not much to do in the area unless your goal is to detach from the world for a few days
  • Huge National forest lots of diverse wildlife with plenty of opportunities to actually see .
  • Hiked the entire Caroline Dormon trail with a pack on. 10/10 experience. Amazing views at the Kisatchie Bayou campsite as well. Well serviced restrooms at both the Lotus and Kisatchie Bayou campsite. And it was an amazing adventure on the trail.
  • Beautiful!! Oh my goodness these winding roads. Some of the pines trees have such an interesting look. You wouldn't understand if I explained it but look closely some don't even grow like normal pine trees. They twist and turn, it's an amazing sight. We came here to drink from the water that comes out of the ground supposedly from Arkansas. Mane it tastes so good! You don't even have to filter it. Full of minerals I'm sure! You might get a grain of sand but you can drink from the pipe straight out of the ground and it's cold!! Definitely would suggest this place for a get away or a nice hike!!
