  • Adjust your outgoing voicemail to the correct hours of operation. We called and the message says you are closed on Tuesdays. We drove all the way out only to see that you are also closed on Mondays.

  • Almost empty on an April Sunday so it made for a low pressure visit- no one crowding the exhibits and no one hurrying behind me up the stairs/ramps of the monument. Very nicely curated museum and great view of the Cape from the top of the monument. Nice gift shop also. Well worth the admission.
  • Best historical experience in the area for a deep dive into all things Pilgrim. After a stroll through a surprisingly detailed museum you can climb the 116 step up the Italianate tower for a fantastic view (go on a clear day). It does get windy up top so mind the camera.
  • This is definitely a long trip up the tower so prepare yourself, but the view is stunning. You can see everything around you. This is the spot you need to visit before going shopping as it has parking and a little elevator down to town.
  • Interesting museum, much larger than it appears. The whole experience including climbing the tower and museum was 60-90 mins. The tower is an energetic climb up stairs but great view of the town and bay.
  • The Pilgrim Monument and Provincetown Museum is a great place to spend a few hours and learn about the changes that occurred after the Pilgrims made their initial landing here back in 1620. The inclined elevator leading up to the monument from Bradford Street is included in the museum’s admission price. The climb to the top of the monument is not as difficult as it might seem since the ascent has very few stairs, instead the climb is made by walking up ramps that encircle the inside of the monument. The view from the top of the monument is certainly affected by weather conditions in P-Town and along the shore of Massachusetts as you view towards the southwest and northwest. The museum has done a good job ‘evolving’ from the standard ‘First Thanksgiving’ tale we ‘older’ folks learned in school, to a truer presentation of the conflict the indigenous peoples had with the arriving Europeans.
