Create an itinerary including Race Point Beach
Find crystal clear waters, sweeping sand dunes, and pure white sand off the beaten track at Race Point Beach. The beach gets northern sun all day long, so it's popular with sunbathers. The shoreline drops off quickly so it may not be ideal for casual swimmers, but upside of this is that you may see sailboats or whales close to shore. The beach is prone to big surf, making it a favorite for surfers. Be aware, this area is known for strong riptides and undertow--only strong swimmers should attempt time in the water here. • We took the dogs in mid October and walked the beach. The vistas are stunning, the air clean and the water was gorgeous. Bring a camera as the beauty is breathtaking.

  • Walked the beach on a warm September day. Absolutely beautiful and saw seals. Nice to go after Labor Day so not crowded. No problem parking.

  • One of the best beach to relax and enjoy beautiful sunset. We went here last week and we had alot fun. We played beach volleyball here and we had a great time. Also you its very clean and you get have good time with your frnds and family.
  • I didn’t like the beach that much . I heard it’s the best beach in cape cod but sorry to say that we have good beaches in NJ. This beach has lots of stones and we Cudnt stay in the water because of it . Too many stones and pointy ones . Our feet were hurting !!!! A total disappointment!!! The entry fee is $25. Beautiful sand dunes and beach Looks cool from far . There is changing room and showers head to clean up . Nothing to eat on beach . You have to drive 10 min to find a restaurant to eat . So. Etter plan that way. Eat something first and then go to beach . Kids had fun on the beach shore . We sis see seals on the shore !! It was a sight to watch .
  • Love this beach! Nice soft sand, peaceful. Came in September and it was super windy, but we still brought a towel and sat for an hour listening to the waves
  • Great beach and great bike riding. This is a long car ride to tip of the cape but worth it as you can enjoy the raw Atlantic and then a quieter cape cod bay when in downtown ptown. Nice easy bike ride from race Point Beach with plenty of parking and then take in downtown ptown.
  • Came by in the off-season, no fee to enter. Very quiet and no trouble parking right in front of the beach access point. From the beach you could see the old life-saving station over the dunes.
