Ehukai Beach Park, Pupukea

Ehukai beach is one of the world's most famous surf beaches in the world. It was amazing to see some of the world's best surfers ride the waves. This site also holds some of the most popular surfing competitions. While the entire North Shore is famous for its surfing, this beach especially gets a lot of attention from people all around. The sunset (as you can see in the pictures) is gorgeous. The sun sets behind a hill in the distance, creating amazing colors in the sky. Be prepared to face large crowds over the weekends. One of the must visit beaches in Oahu.

This is one of the most famous surfing beaches in the world, and if you're a surfer, you don't need this review. But if you're just a regular person (with kids) - this beach is fabulous. In peak surf season, there's a sandbar immediately off the parking area that breaks the larger monster waves into smaller waves kids can boogie board on while you watch the surfers.

What a spectacular beach located on Oahu’s North Shore. First time here was to watch the Da Hui Backdoor Shootout. Was so cool seeing these athletes compete, riding the waves, and seeming to have a great time doing it. Waves here are something to marvel at. Just amazing. The sand is nice, and the whole environment is just chill. I’ll be going back here regularly just to enjoy some relax beach time. Bathrooms are onsite and clean too!

This beach was the highlight of my trip even though we only spent an hour there. We stayed in the Waikiki and only had a few hours with the car to check out the island. The vibe at this beach is very laid back and chill. No loud music or tourist running around like at the Waikiki beaches. Also, it was not very crowded, but that could be because of going during the day. The waves are powerful so if you have children or not a strong swimmer maybe think twice about going into the water. I just wanted to lay on the beach and enjoy the serenity of the waves, wind, and sun. I would love to come back to this beach and spend my vacation there.

Very big beach with big waves for surfers, not so good for swimming though. Beautiful spot to walk along the beach and watch the sunset. Definitely stop by if staying in north shore.
