  • Favorite swimming hole by far. So clear that you can see the shore. I enjoy the water and I'm glad there is a deep end to swimming. Such a beautiful place to swim at!
  • This is a great place to just sit back and enjoy the family and some friends while playing in the water
  • Beautiful Northern California lake great to see the lake full 😀 💙
  • Whiskeytown lake is the most beautiful lake I have ever seen. It is so peaceful there and hard to take your eyes off of every inch of the area. Everywhere you turn there there's something amazing to be discovered. The lookout point by The visitors center is also a great place to see how much already of the lake from one location. from what I understand there are tons of different locations to visit there at the lake that offer different views and scenes. There is a little bit of walking and order to get close to the lake but nothing unreasonable. I highly suggest visiting this specific lake. It would be a shame if anyone had come to Shasta County and did not take a trip to this location. The locals and travelers that have visited here have always had the same reaction of complete awe. Great place for kids as well and it is perfect for hot summer days. I often see people reading books by the lake as well as swimming. Just thinking about it makes me want to go there right now. Is very peaceful and quiet so whatever you looking for I can guarantee you this has something to offer. Be sure to charge your phone because you'll be taking lots of photos and bring food with you as there are not many places around there to grab a bite to eat.
  • Passing through going home to Redding from over in Humboldt can never get enough of the beautiful scenery whiskeytown has to offer she's come along way healing from the 2018 Carr Fire
