This park is so great and never gets any attention. The rangers there are very friendly and helpful. It’s a reasonable walk - less than a mile - to do the loop. Going down the steps would be tough...

Montezuma Well was very interesting. It was a different experience than the nearby Montezuma Castle. The Well site included a path down to the water surface that was very scenic. The Rangers on-site were very enthusiastic and explained the history of the Sinagua inhabitants and the natural history and biology of the site.

Very cool place and fascinating facts about this water bubbling up and the little society that surounded it. Allow about two hours to fully enjoy this place!

A great place to visit, especially if you love hiking and the outdoors. The hiking trails cover a lot of territory with so much to see. The history here is fascinating and the rangers are well knowledgeable and very helpful Hard to believe people actually lived out here centuries ago with none of the modern conveniences people take for granted today. Seeing the well and learning about the history totally awesome!! The ancient dwellings people lived in around the well was a real educational experience. It is amazing there are ancient remnants of past civilizations right here in the US. It is along the way towards Montezuma's Castle and worth the stop. . While here, be prepared to do some walking and hiking to be able to see the sites. Carry lots of water as the temperature can be hot and very humid and keep tabs on the weather as it can change quickly, especially during monsoon seasons. Well worth a visit during a trip to the Sedona area.

Upon arriving we were greeted by the rangers. Quick discussion and we walked the 40 stairs or so to the top of the well. Looked around and decided to walk down to the well. There was yet another ranger who gave us the rundown on the well. Very educational and kind ranger. Walked back up the 100 or so stairs and left due to severe heat.

The lake at this attraction has great reflections to take pictures of, and it doesn't take long to park and walk to the lake, so it's worth a visit!
