Halibut Point State Park, Rockport

This is a nice park on the water. The parking lot is across the street from the park itself. The trail is well maintained and pretty wide. It’s mostly crushed stones so you can walk it in any footwear. One of the first things you’ll come across is the quarry. It’s pretty big and you’ll be looking down at it. Swimming is not allowed but is a fan favorite of ducks. There’s a few different overlooks. There’s also a couple of overlooks to the beach and ocean. There’s also trails to the beach. The pathway is basically a loop that takes you to the visitor center and back to the parking lot. You have to pay for parking via the kiosk.

Perfect place for weekend get away. Nice hiking trails around the query or to the shore of the ocean. A little bit of history in the park house. Over all nice weekend away from the city. You can see some nice flora and fauna during your walk.

Lots of spaces and places to enjoy your me time, or family time. Great scenery. Easy access to the water. Though you not suppose to swim, you can at least dip your legs in the clean and refreshing water. Getting to the ocean, there is a need to maneuver around some brush, stones, and mud but there were elderly doing it, so I am sure those younger can too. Enjoy!

Clean, Clear & spacious trails around the quarry. With plenty of parking ; the views are spectacular. **Impressive. Oceanside trails are marked well in red. Sitting on the granite around the quarry is tranquil as is seeing & hearing the waves crash.

A great getaway spot for all. The lookout, quarry and beach are great spots to click photos and relax. The reflection in the quarry makes sunset even more special. Kids + family friendly. Bathrooms in the visitor center were closed during our visit.
