  • Cannot say enough great things about this adventure. Our guide (Rose) was passionate and friendly. The horses appeared to be well cared for. The scenery was stunning. We took our time and never felt unsafe. Would do this again and again!
  • We did the 3 hour Emerald Mountain ride and it was a blast! My horse Simon was fairly stubborn, which was a little frustrating at times, but it didn't take away from the experience. I've ridden horses before so I wasn't a beginner rider, but unless you have a ton of experience, I recommend signing up as a beginner just so you're less likely to get a difficult or stubborn horse. Again, I still loved my experience and the views were breathtaking. Horseback riding in the mountains has been a lifelong bucket list item for me, and this ride didn't disappoint. Would recommend that the staff they offer to take pictures of the guests and their horses, especially considering they work largely off of tips despite the price you pay for the ride. Just a thought for Sombrero/management. Great experience and highly recommend!
  • This was a great experience for all of us. There was 7 of us, and I was the only one to have ever riden a horse before. The horses were great for the beginner riders.
  • Absolutely fantastic! Beautiful mountain views. Our guide (from Idaho) was so knowledgeable and her passion for nature was evident with her info she shared. We got caught in traffic on the way up from Downtown Denver. Even with leaving an extra hour for travel time, got slowed down by an IronMan bike race, accident, and slow check in to the park. I called to let them know we were stuck and running late, they were so accommodating, even after we ended up arriving 3 min after the ride was scheduled to start. We had planned to arrive the 30 min early! My husband is 6'3" and we both are "curvier" than we would like. No issues with riding. They have all types of horses, including some draft horse mixes, so no issues or judgemental attitudes. Had loading areas, so didn't need to mount or dismount from the ground.
  • Caring and helpful staff with plenty of equestrian experience. Our guide was friendly and entertaining. They have mounting and dismounting areas that make it easy for anyone to get onto AMD off of a horse. Be warned, their shortest ride is 2 hours, but it goes so fast it feels like 1 hour.
