Capitol Theatre reviews
While this theater is a bit run down, the charm still shines through. I would go back for another event.

Went to see grangaughter in the Nutcracker performance. I understand that this place has a huge historical valve and has been around since I was born. Do something with the seats. Having to sit in...

First time going to the Capital Theater. Attended the Rocky Horror Picture Show. It was a fun time and we will keep an eye on the upcoming shows. Theater was small and a bit dated in amenities, but that's fine when seeing special shows like this one. Didn't even know there were small projection theaters here. We will support the local theaters, but some movies have to be seen on bigger screens. Will be interesting to see what other special shows are done here. (This part of my review was posted after the theater's response)
The movie palace is a spectacular art-deco treasure. Painstakingly renovated, it is has been restored to its former glory. Do not miss the opportunity to see something there - a show, a talk, a film, all the things!
They always have a great selection of indie films! Definitely get the popcorn, and a Moxie if you are feeling adventurous.
Great theater! Great place to watch a new or old movie! Even a balcony!
Fully renovated and fantastic! (First exclamation point ever on my reviews.) Restored to its 1939 heyday, including the blade and marquee out front and plasterwork and carpet and seats inside. Great old 1928 movie palace shows 35mm classics. Next door there are two intimate HD digital theaters that screen current indie movies you'll see streaming in six months.
