  • Staff are very friendly and made a fuss over our puppy girls, which was nice. We enjoyed having our wine tasting outside at a table overlooking the valley. Our favorite wine from the tasting flight...

  • In my opinion, they have some of the best wine available in the area! Gorgeous views. This place is literally right beside Raffaldini Vineyards.

  • Went to Piccione without plans and were pleasantly surprised with the quality of wines, food availability, ambiance, family environment, etc. I would recommend this vineyard and will definitely...

  • The scenery is beautiful. You get an amazing view of the Blueridge Mountains here. This is a family and dog friendly winery which I appreciate because some places are not. I didn’t drink but my husband did and he said the wine was very good. We’ll definitely be back.
  • We're visiting from Texas, this vineyard turned out to be pretty laid back and kid friendly. The kids had fun rolling downhill. My wife enjoyed the wine, especially the mulled wine. They had good scenery views and an outdoor fireplace to keep warm.
  • Loved our experience here today. They have beautiful views and friendly employees. Haley helped us choose a bottle and offered to light a wood-burning fire and propane fire tower in the mostly-enclosed tent outside. We loved sitting by the fire with our wine while our kids were able to explore a little bit outside. The kids loved meeting Eloise, the sweet, friendly winery shih tzu. Thanks so much!
  • Gorgeous views, decent wine, ok entertainment. We visited on a busy Saturday in early September, and were very impressed by how beautiful the winery looks. The wines themselves are okay - a little above average for NC wine. There was a young lady singing and playing guitar as the entertainment - she had a big beautiful voice, but she'd perform one song and then play a song on her phone through the P.A. system. Then she'd perform another, then play one ... that was weird! If I want to hear recorded music I can listen to my own Spotify playlist. Overall it was a good experience, and worth the trek out from Winston.
  • The vineyards and view were beautiful but that’s where the good part of it ends. We got two flights which included a tasting of each one of their 8 wines. I’m sorry, but none of the wines had any flavor. In my opinion one had a taste similar to the smell of rubbing alcohol. We were invited to go up to the pavilion to enjoy our wine and lunch. There were about 20 other people there and a huge gust of wind with rain rolled in. In an effort to conceal ourselves and remain under cover, we extended the plastic covers that were attached to the pavilion to protect ourselves. Everyone there was happy to remain there, dry and protected from the wind. An individual who appeared to be the owner or of some influence within the company, came over and scolded the entire group for shielding themselves from the harsh weather and bundled up the plastic exposing the customers to the weather. Fortunately, the rain had subsided by this time. There are two things that will break a company: One: Quality of product. Two: Customer service. Unfortunately, this winery gets a zero on both of these benchmarks. In my opinion, don’t waste your time here. There are too many other good wineries with delicious wines and pleasant customer service that makes you happy you were there.
