Cooper Ridge Vineyards, Roseburg

3.5-4 not connoisseurs wine but a lovely, friendly experience. Merlot and Tempranillo shine above the rest. Excellenty experiencee for a group that we had.

What a beautiful place! Very inviting inside and out. Outside are tables with umbrellas to shield you from the sun. The deck overlooks the vineyards and the mountains in the distance. When we arrived on a Thursday afternoon in September, we were greeted and served promptly. There were only a couple of other tables occupied. We enjoyed most of the wines and in particular the Rose and Pinot Noir which we bought. It would be nice if they waived the tasting fee when you purchased a couple bottles. All in all, an enjoyable way to spend an hour or two! Update to my original review: I went back and looked at my receipt and we did receive a 10% discount. Thanks to the owner for pointing that out!

We recently went to a friend’s home there in Roseburg and were served this really delicious wine. We truly enjoyed it (and we have a California palate, which seems to look for real heartiness.) So we made a trip out to the winery for a full tasting! We were not disappointed! Very good. BTW: It was so hot that day. About 100 degrees°! We were very hot but sat outside so we could overlook the beautiful valley. We will be back.

My family visited Oregon for the month of April and the RV park we stayed at gave us a free wine tasting voucher for Cooper Ridge Vineyard. I left the kids with my husband and went out to see what kind of wine they had and hopefully buy a bottle to remember Oregon by. I arrived and immediately felt out of place and unwelcome. The older gentleman serving the wine made no effort to have a conversation with me or recommend a wine that I might like. After finishing the tasting (with gorgeous views out on the patio!) I went in to see if there were any dessert wines I could purchase, but wasn't even acknowledged as I entered back into the building so I left without purchasing anything sadly. Beautiful facility and location but their customer service was lacking.

We happened to stop in for some wine tasting the same day as their wine club pick up and were able to partake in a fun pairing. Six wines paired with small bites they prepacked lunch bag style! Staff was friendly and they have a beautiful outdoor patio with gorgeous views! We will definitely visit again!
