Douglas County Museum of Natural & Cultural History, Roseburg

If you like natural history and getting to know an area, then this is the place for you. We enjoyed exploring the museum. Some of the best parts were reading some of the displays about the people. Honestly some were quite funny. Take the time to read them! There is also a little gift shop

I hadn't visited since I was much younger. Decided to bring my children to escape the hot day and still be able to get out of the house. What wonderful updates/changes compared to what I remember. My oldest is begging to go back again. There are wonderful interactive areas for the kids to play/learn. Definitely a hidden gem ❤️

What an amazing experience. Definitely holds its own and exceeds kids activities available in Eugene or Medford. Very worth the stop, wish they were more accessible so as to be a regular activity rather than a very occasional activity. Totally out of their control, but maybe better signage? I know that's difficult to accomplish with ODOT. Incredibly educational and interactive experience. Very impressive attraction for the county and community.

A very cool local museum that gives a good history of the area and ancient animals that inhabited the region. Founded in 1969, added on in 1979 and 1989. Good place for kids to see and learn history as well.
