Grgich Hills Estate, Rutherford

We had an amazing experience tasting wine at Grgich Hills Estate! Jeremy was lovely; he provided us with so many interesting and fun facts about wine and the region - loved every minute, thank you (we're coming back later this afternoon for more!)! Being at this tasting makes me want to quit my job, move here, and learn everything I can about wine. And, also come to wine tastings daily ;)

We visited Grgich Hills as part of the Napa Valley Wine Train experience, and really enjoyed Jeremy's entertaining guided tasting. There was a nice tasting area set up under umbrellas in the warm sun, and Jeremy's mission to "educate and inebriate" was successful! The wines were delicious, particularly the rose and chardonnay. Loved hearing the story of the founding of the winery and the epic blind wine tasting showdown in France where American wines won over the French!

We went to Grgich Hills today to try their wonderful Paris Tasting Commemoration Chardonnay. Frank welcomed us and treated us like kings, we had a wonderful conversation with him and got valuable information from him about the winery, it’s history, it’s legendary owner, Miljenko, and about the wines. The Chardonnay was amazing, very elegant, full of finesse and complexity. We will definitely come back.

Excellent wines, attentive service, our favorite was the "dusty" 2018 cab sauv, something a little different. Not the most scenic view you'll get in Napa but we enjoyed the tasting.

We had a great tasting. Jeremy taught us many things we didn’t know and was entertaining as well. And they were dog friendly!
