Learn about the Cold War and nuclear conflict at Titan Missile Museum. The museum sits atop the only remaining Titan II missile site of the 54 that helped guard the United States from a missile attack from 1963 to 1987. Take a tour to see an intercontinental ballistic missile in its Cold War environment and view the technology used by the United States to deter nuclear war. Check out the museum store which offers Titan II memorabilia, including a dosimeter which is used to detect radiation. You'll find a number of tours available throughout the week; some provide a chance to visit areas normally closed to the public. A visit to Titan Missile Museum represents just the start of the adventure when you use our Sahuarita online vacation planner to plot your vacation.

  • Very interesting. Tour about 45 minutes. Our tour guide was wonderful and fun. It is 55 stairs down and same coming back up. A lot of us seniors and I didn't see anyone having problems. We learned more about mass destruction And hopefully the active missiles never need to deploy. We enjoyed our tour.
  • Very unique experience at this museum. They offer tours to the underground command center. I'd definitely recommend it. The tour guide was a former member of the crew that was in charge of the missile and its maintenance. He walked us through the underground command center showing us (step by step) and explaining to us what would/could have happened in the event of the nuclear attack. It was an intense experience!
  • This is an amazing one of a kind experience you won't want to miss. An incredible story from the Cold War told through one of the missile silos that was poised to launch at a moment's notice. The tour is fabulous where you will learn about the crews stationed there, the control room and of course the Titan II missile itself. You will go through a mock alert and launch procedure before you walk down the long and narrow passage to the missile itself. The tour guides were amazing and the gift ship is filled with awesome memorabilia and some unique authentic pieces. I look forward to visiting again :)
  • This is one of the coolest places I have ever been in my life. For any student of history, or fan of the military, this is an absolute must stop. The tour guide was exceptionally knowledgeable. The tour takes about an hour, and I was riveted the entire time. What an amazing, unforgettable experience. I hope for another opportunity to return to this amazing place.
  • Lived in Tucson for years but had never visited. Took both my kids (11 and 14) and we had a great time getting out of the house and letting the wife relax at home. The tour guide, I can't recall her name, was extremely knowledgeable. Later when we got home I re-watched "Star Trek: First Contact" and we were able to point out what we saw at the museum.
