West Feliciana Historical Society Museum, Saint Francisville

We just honestly had to use the restroom and there was nowhere else to go.. so yeah we went there.. not from there.. I do have passed on family members and friends that are from here.. but yeah we saw this really cozy looking building and yeah.. went in and it looks incredible in there! Very beautifully done in there! Definitely will be going back to check things out again! This time! Won't be just to use their bathrooms. Awesome place. Thank you whoever the nice lady was at the door! Thanks alot nice lady for the recommendations in the area on interesting things to check out and places shop at! Super helpful and welcoming! Loved the vibe for sure! Recommend the place!

Great local museum highlighting the history of West Feliciana Parish. Staff was helpful and extremely knowledgeable in the local area i.e. where to get a cup of coffee at 2pm on Tuesday. Also, fantastic selection of local gifts and books.

Located in a historic building, and Saint Francisville, Louisiana. The lady working here, on this Sunday morning, did a great job of pointing out all the historical parts of this town. In addition they have some John James Audubon prints, for sale at reasonable prices, so we had to pick one up while we were there. Although the museum is small, it is well worth your visit. Admission is free. This is our first time visiting Saint Francisville, and we wanted to find out as much as we could about the history of this town.

For a disabled person it was tough to get inside but once inside the people who were running it we're extremely Pleasant. My wife had the opportunity to speak with the president of the Historical Society who shared lots of information with her. She lives across the street and was born and raised in that building. There's lots to do inside, a small gift shop, and don't forget to check out the tiny garden to the right of the building.

Really helpful staff who suggested the Natchez Trace parkway and campsites along the way. Told me about the re enactment the next day so I stayed 3 nights. Met great people and experienced southern Louisiana hospitality.
