Fishing Pier, Saint Simons Island

We usually walk out on the pier every time we come to St. Simons. I have fished from the pier many times, and I’ve caught some very cool fish. Various people have caught sharks here (much larger than any I’ve ever caught), and they’re no lack of birds to be seen here. We’ve seen dolphins from the pier multiple times. You could see the cargo ship that was recently cleaned up very well from the pier. Once, we even saw a ship pull up to the pier to drop someone off. If you’re not a fisherman, grab an ice cream and walk on down to enjoy the views and see what others are catching.

I thoroughly enjoyed my visit with my family each time. This being the 3rd vacation here. Such beautiful streets very scenic and little ❤ to see. The peir is very big!! Friendly people!!! I spoke with 3 different folks who were there fishing.

Great spot for fishing, people watching, sunsets or grab a bite and some food at the nearby restaurants. Get here a bit before sundown to catch an amazing view of the sunset!

Fishing and crabbing are allowed on the pier for free. Great place to spend the day just relaxing and watching the people and boats. The sunsets are awesome.

This place was very beautiful very welcoming very clean and the community and the people around there are very polite I'm not from the area and I would have to say I felt the southern hospitality always here about if I would call this place is great to take your family on a vacation or just to go simply fishing off the pier
