The Salida Museum is a fun way to explore the history of Salida. We got lots of personal attention and our guide was super knowledgeable. The displays are well curated and in true Salida fashion, there are lots of weird surprises!

Bob is such a wonderful docent - he showed us all around and gave us a FASCINATING tour of the museum! They have a great selection of local history and some very cool rotating displays. This is definitely worth seeing!

The Salida Museum is chock full of history from local characters, railroads, businesses, events and more. We enjoyed learning about Salida and the museum from its director Susan Jesuroga. Plan a couple of hours to view and read all of the memorabilia.

Very disappointed it was closed. It is only open on the weekends during their winter hours.
