  • This museum is incredible. They have 100+ year old lures, plenty of art from the Ward brothers, and mind blowing photorealistic carvings that were voted best in the world the year they were made. You can also buy handmade art in their gift shop from just a couple bucks for a hand painted bookmark to thousands for a lifelike bird carving.
  • The samples of various animals are very realistic and beautifully shaped.
  • We went to the museum on a Saturday morning right after they opened. Their award winning carvings are some of the best I've ever seen. It took us about 2 hours to go through the museum and the volunteer was their to offer us assistance and provide information. They have a nice outside area with sculptures and a walking trail. I highly recommend this museum for anyone who enjoys exquisitely detailed wood carving.
  • Small, but fun day trip. Very informative center, and thorough explanations of art work. The museum is very focused on the bird hunting culture of Delmarva. The small trail had great scenery, a good way to spend an afternoon.
  • Showcases the art (both decoy and traditional paintings) of Lem and Steve Ward. Also gives an overall history of the local seafood industry. This is a self-guided tour. The best information was provided by a video exhibit. Press a button and watch a video about the lives of the 2 brothers from Crisfield, and the decoy making industry. Also has a gift shop and some Charley Harper memorabilia. Exhibits may rotate. Check the website of the museum. An outdoor walking area outside of the museum, accessible from the parking lot, is near the Wicomico River quite scenic.
