  • This museum was worth visiting. The staff were very enthusiastic and answered any questions we had. There is a short film which is worth watching. Nice gift shop.

  • Very interactive museum..loads of multi media to help the story come to life. Even if you are not into the faith as we are.

  • It’s a good place to understand more about the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints’ history. The first vision video is amazing, and the environment is relaxing and help us to take time to understand about the things that were happening with church pioneers. On the top floor there is an art exhibition, made by people from all over the world. Arts related to Jesus Christ, the scriptures, principles of the gospel and much more. Even those who are not a member of the church will like this museum, and feel peace when walking through the spaces that tell stories and arts. There is room for children to play and learn as well.
  • will preface this review with saying I am not Mormon. The great news is that this museum is very informative and fun to visit regardless of religious affiliation. We love history, and there is plenty of history at this museum. The museum has collections of art, artifacts, documents, photographs, tools, clothing and furniture from the Mormon Church. The museum is FREE, and well staffed by volunteers who are happy to answer any questions about exhibits. The Mormon Church has a fascinating story, and I learned a lot. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the fourth largest Christian church in America, with 6.7 million adherents in this country. More than half of its members, approximately 9.6 million people, live outside the United States. There are beautiful pieces of art, and the museum allows visitors to select two favorites. We very much enjoyed our visit!
  • A great museum. A lot of cool historical pieces. Perfect for visiting leading up to Pioneer Days. The art here is great for art enthusiasts as well. My wife and our sons loved it and want to go back again.
  • Definitely worth a stop on your big circle tour around Temple Square. To me, this was the least impressive of the facilities. A lot of it seemed "diorama-ish," and less full of artifacts. (The church's history library northeast of here was smaller yet had seemingly more impressive or educational items to see.) Be sure to watch the panorama film and see the artifacts that are here. The guides here are--as everyone is on Temple Square--very friendly and full of answers. Be sure to interact with them or you'll miss half the value.
  • It was pretty disappointing. I had to view the art exhibit upstairs for a class, but when I got there nearly whole exhibit was closed. This isn’t really a problem for me if it’s communicated, but there was no warning of this in the lobby or online. The staff was also an issue. Not only were they non existent, but the staff I did interact with was rude and little to no help. I did love what I could see though.
