  • This is a park near the SLC cemetery. It has nice views of the Salt Lake Valley esp. at night. Recommend it for younger and older and there is hiking there too.

  • Great for a short or long hike. The start of the trail is close to the city, more like a park, good for hangout and rest with friends or family. The middle is more in the forest with a river, nice to walk with your dog. And the end is in the road, good for biking. The full trail takes about 1h to 2h There are some monument in the memorial mark, but the nature around is so beautiful that is much more worth to look at
  • Somebody set aside an area for service members and veterans. Did a very nice job. Definitely worth a 45 min visit a slow uphill walk. Memorials all very respectful. However the maintenance was missed at least this year. In late August 2022 sections overgrown with weeds. The love of the parks creators is missing by this section of caretakers. No small job as a lawnmower is a small part of the effort needed by the park. Dogs run off leash.
  • Beautiful and peaceful park just East of the state Capitol building. River-side Dog friendly off-leash walking trail and many different out buildings and monuments in remembrance of those who fought for us. We parked on a street above to the East and walked down a paved walkway (as shown in photo). Highly recommended.
  • It was great. There's the sound of the stream and the forest all around sounding peaceful and fantastic. The front of the park has graffiti covering the stone and statues, people left remarks about body privileges and there is profanity sprayed there. Otherwise the park is beautifully maintained and looking great.
  • I've been taking my dogs here for years! I love having access to the water and shade in the summer. People here tend to be friendly and there's always so many cute pups.
